Maths About Us!

We have had fun so far with maths this term. 

We have created some pictographs around questions such as 'What superpower would you like?' 

We also have created some Maths About Me people using our own information! (click for a close up).

New Babies in Our Room!

We have four swan plants in our room and last week we put them outside for the monarchs to lay their eggs on.  We got 2 tiny eggs on the leaves and over the weekend they hatched into baby caterpillars.  We are excited to watch them grow as they eat.

Creating our Portraits

On Friday we spent a whole block learning about drawing, and then painting our own portraits.  First, we had to look carefully at a friends face and we talked about what our faces actually look like. Then we drew our faces onto our paper step by step.  Lastly, we began to paint our faces and hope to finish them this Friday.  

Friday Fun Day

We were very excited to be able to play with Mrs Ray's toys on Friday during discovery time.  Look how much fun we had! 

And we started some superhero virtue art too! 

Welcome New 21 Superheroes!

Wow, what a great first few days we have had getting to know each other. It will be a super year filled with super learning and fun.
